For the 25th anniversary of 9/11, I had the chance to interview journalist and photojournalist David Burns, who was at Ground Zero covering the aftermath of the attacks on the World Trade Center.
We talked about his memories of September 11, what he witnessed at Ground Zero and how covering one of the most consequential events in modern history affected him as a journalist.
David also shares his perspective, informed by his later experience as an EMT, on the response of first responders and on how preparedness has evolved since 9/11.
